RentPath Gives Back (RPGB) News!

Signs of spring: warmer temperatures, flowers in bloom, pollen in the air and RentPath volunteers putting mind, muscles and money to work in our community.

Our partnership with Open Doors is a great example of skills-based volunteerism--leveraging our specialized skills and talents to strengthen their infrastructure and grow capacity. Our IT team continues to make progress on the website and digital match.

Our concierge team joined the collaboration this month as well by calling and vetting nearly 100 local Atlanta properties to build up the listings for the Open Doors portal. Giving homeless or sheltered individuals--and the outreach coordinators working on their behalf--the ability to digitally find available apartments will increase placement efficiency and significantly expedite the process of housing individuals and families.

Thanks to those who came and put your creative talents to good use at our our Reds, Whites and Blue, event. Together, we raised $2,446 for the RentPath Gives Back Foundation. All artwork will be donated to previously homeless veterans at The Veteran Empowerment Organization and to Hope Atlanta to help decorate the homes of newly-housed individuals and families. Our field team in Dallas gave back at Minnie’s Food Pantry, where Matt Cox, Gerald Tungol, Jessica Bates, Jessica Curtis, Mike Aitchison, Tracy Watson, Jennifer Smith, Bryan Vanhooydonk, and Crystal Smith served meals to 238 people, representing 94 families. Dallas recipients received 6,392 pounds of food for 5,362 meals. They also helped sort four pallets of donations, 416 pounds of food, prepared 98 boxes for their clients and donated $300 in gift cards.

While giving our time, we’ve also given our treasure. We’ve raised $30,394 from 118 employees. Our goal is to raise $150,000 from 100% of our employees by the end of the year. Donate what you can. No amount is too small!

We strongly encourage you take advantage of your three paid volunteer days by gathering your teams and creating events that have meaningful impact to ending homelessness within your communities.
