Do you have one hour a week to make a difference in a young person’s life?
Mentoring MOVES aims to increase positive youth outcomes through the power of mentoring. One in three young people will grow up without a positive adult mentor who can help them reach their full potential. These young adults are often at risk of homelessness and are possibly already housing insecure. A recent statewide analysis highlighted mentor recruitment as one of the top challenges for mentoring programs.
RentPath Gives Back, in partnership with United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Mentoring MOVES Initiative, is recruiting mentors for a virtual mentoring program that begins this fall.
United Way’s Virtual Mentoring Program allows mentors to connect with youth one-on-one through an online platform – making it a good fit for professionals who may not be able to mentor in person.
School site: Benjamin Banneker High School located in South Fulton County
All mentors must pass a school-district-approved background check and will receive training and support for their mentoring relationship. RentPath Gives Back will cover the cost of your background check fee!
