As we close out 2018, I wanted to thank all of you for the impact you’ve made in Atlanta and around the country to help put an end to homelessness. We have exceeded our participation goals for the year! I am overwhelmed by the hours you have devoted to such organizations as Open Doors, VEO, Nicholas House, Minnie’s Food Pantry in Dallas and UMOM in Phoenix. Your faithfulness in serving homeless youth, veterans and single moms is inspiring.
You’ve also stepped up financially, donating $49,563.42 from 213 employees since the beginning of the year. I am grateful for your participation, but we can and should do more. We have roughly two weeks remaining to reach our employee contribution goal of $75,000 or 100% participation. Please take time to reflect on your own good fortune during the holiday season--and consider a donation to help those who have no place to call home. No amount is too small and the company will match your donations to maximize our impact.
In order to receive a 2018 tax deduction, your donation must be made by the end of December. Specifically, recurring payroll deductions must be made by December 21 and will roll over to 2019. The deadline for a one-time donation via check is December 28.
Anyone who contributes $20 or more between now and noon on December 21, will be entered into a drawing to win my parking spot for a week and lunch with me in 2019. Get out your checkbook and prepare your burning questions! The winner will be notified via email by 3pm ET on December 21.
Thank you again for generously sharing your mind, your muscles and your money to help make homelessness brief and rare in the communities where we live and work. I am proud to work with you and appreciate the privilege to lead RentPath. Together, we are making a BIG difference.
