We hosted the 2nd Annual Parent Employment event in partnership with Dress for Success Atlanta and the Kids Home Initiative. We recorded an impressive 160 volunteer hours of impact in a single day. Forty employees engaged 11 parents in a skills-based volunteer event, assisting in the creation of individual resumes, mock interviews with feedback, and served as image consultants in the Dress for Success station. Oh, we can't forget about those amazing professional headshots!

I volunteered as an interview coach and it was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had in my short time with the company. I look forward to volunteering for many more events.

I volunteered in the Dress for Success portion of the event, where we helped women pick out clothes that they could wear to an interview. The event provided an opportunity to not only help them get equipped for a job but also a way to bolster their spirits and make them feel confident and empowered. I used my past experience in retail to give pointers on how to keep the clothes looking nice (for example, folding pants to keep the crease and how to hang your collared shirt on a hanger so that the collar doesn’t crumble). I also used my knowledge of sewing to help repair some items that weren’t quite perfect for our parents. It was a lot of fun! I would love to do it again!
